Accident or post-op recovery
We cover medical and personal care
We are a nurse-led care practice and are qualified to care for you after a surgical procedure, or recovering from an accident. For example, we can help you wash and prepare for the day and assist with medication. With your permission, we can liaise with your medical team to help with your recovery and give practical, nurse-led advice if you want it.
We can also offer assistance of a more general nature, like housekeeping, preparing food and picking up prescriptions. As you recover, your needs will change and your care plan will take account of this, with constant feedback and assessment of your recovery.
The help we offer for accident and post-op recovery care
We can help you with a range of tasks, but to give you an idea of what to expect, here’s a general list of what we cover:
- All aspects of personal care
- Monitoring and supporting all aspects of health
- Support with medication
- Support with mobility
- Meal preparation
- Arranging and taking to appointments, such as Doctors, Dentist, Chiropodist, Hairdressers
- General housekeeping
- Help with pets, such as feeding and arranging vet appointments
The first step in your care will be an assessment and review of your condition and likely medical needs and recovery path. We’ll then work out the duration and frequency of your visits, which may be from several times per week to several times per day.
“I had the fortune of receiving care from Sarah’s Carers after major back surgery. I was treated with utmost care and consideration by Sarah’s highly trained team, all of whom were warm, compassionate and professional.
It is not easy to make one feel safe when at one’s most vulnerable – and Sarah’s Carers made it happen. It made all the difference to my early post-operative recovery and I am very grateful to them for it.” – Susannah
